What is Medium/Heavy Wall Heat Shrink Tubing with Adhesive?

Medium and heavy wall heat shrink tubing are designed for more demanding applications where enhanced protection and durability are necessary. The heavy wall is thicker than medium wall while medium wall is thicker than thin wall.The pre-coated adhesive liner version available for water-proof sealing.

The adhesive lining inside these tubes ensures a watertight, airtight, and secure bond when the tubing shrinks. Upon application of heat, the tubing shrinks to conform tightly around the cable or connector, while the adhesive melts to seal the surface, providing an additional layer of protection from moisture, corrosion, and mechanical stress.

How is It Packed to Save Space?

Usually, thin wall shrinkable tubes are typically supplied in reels or spools, depending on the size and quantity to reduce storage space and shipping costs, plus it is more convenient for continuous operating. However, it is not easy to roll the medium and heavy wall shrinkage sleeve into reels. So some customers may request nested packaging to put smaller sizes tube into bigger sizes tubing.

What is the Size Range?

Heat shrink tubing with adhesive comes in various sizes to accommodate different applications. Sizes can range from small diameters for thin wires and connectors to larger diameters for cables and pipe applications. Sizes ranging from 0.8mm to 350mm and shrink ratio up to 6:1 to cover a wide range of irregular shapes wires.
